This semester at Atlantic Cape will prove to be quite challenging. I have 3 classes and Film Club to attend to; that's about 70 human beings. My challenge is, that they all seem pretty alert! Game on. So some of the dialogue we are having this semester is about personal power and then academics.
-Dont let your work become your identity. However, tap into your values and passion to find what you love. And that will make all the difference for you and others.
-If your in it for the money...well that's what your going to get...the money. Personal and intrinsic satisfaction is much more pleasant, honorable and satisfying.
-The landscape of our lives are changing so rapidly, you may be preparing for jobs that don't exist yet.
-As future leaders we need to be thinking more creatively as a community. Embrace your passion, creativity and truth as a human. Take care of the earth and each other.
-Be mindfull that over 50%of the inventions that we will use over the next 25 years have not been created yet.
-By 2030 there will be over 70 million Americans who are over 65.
- We are experiencing a paradigm shift from the Industrial Age to the Information Age-which is significantly impacting the individual, society's and nations. These advances in technology's,medicine and education will create new models that will propel us as a society for the decade or destroy us. I am hopeful.
-Spend a day at the YMCA, homeless shelter, psychiatric unit, the local hospital,a local church...
- Reconsider why we spend 900 billion dollars a year on football when people are living out of their cars.
- Consider taking care of and honoring your:
Home, relationships, family, friends, passion, spiritual truths, intuition, health, creativity, career, and the list is infinite.
